September 7 • Eric Mintel Quartet
In 1993, Eric Mintel formed his Quartet. His jazz work is heavily influenced by Dave Brubeck, but he also composes and performs orchestral and choral music, blending jazz, classical and the sacred choral music of Duke Ellington. The quartet has performed twice at the White House for Presidents Clinton and Obama, as well as numerous times at the Kennedy Center. October 12 • Shikantaza

Shikantaza is a musical group dedicated to finding the hidden jazz jewels in the Great American Songbook, as well as performing original and esoteric musical works. They strive to construct unique arrangements so as to tell a contemporary musical story and present listeners with an engaging, organic, and surprising experience. Shikantaza is Doug Miller on piano, Bernhard Geiger on acoustic bass, Brandon Lewin on percussion, and special guest Lori Pantaleo lending

November 2 • Sandy Sasso
Sandy Sasso will perform inventive interpretations of standards as well as her own originals. In her decades long careeer, Sandy Sasso has worked with such iconic band leaders as Benny Goodman, Jimmy Dorsey and Nelson Riddle. She has performed at numerous jazz clubs and venues through the Northeast United States including President Ronald Reagan’s second inauguration. A classically trained pianist and vocalist, Sandy tours world-wide, performing with small jazz combos as well as big bands. For more, visit www.sandysasso.com.

December 14 • Carol Hamersma
Carol Hamersma is a versatile multifaceted artist, well versed in classical, jazz, and pop. As both guitarist and vocalist, she has performed extensively in the metropolitan area, leading her own combos in hotels, clubs and concert venues. Carol is currently on the faculty of the County College of Morris and Seton Hall University. Her smooth and sultry vocals bring Shirley Horn and Diana Krall to mind. Her warm and bluesy jazz guitar solos come out of the bop tradition, but with a hint of classical guitar style. She is joined on stage by Tim Givens (bass) and Nick Scheuble (drums).
