Next Meeting: March 6th, 2013
Nick Palmieri, Guest Speaker
Presents: Shooting, Processing, and Preparing
professional Grade Digital Images
This educational program is a great introduction or refresher for those interested in sharpening their competition skills. The program begins by reviewing
the types of images that win camera club photo contests, and the best methods and equipment to capture them. We will examine the basics of processing
images in Lightroom and Photoshop. We also discuss how to size, sharpen and upload images to Photocontest Pro. We conclude by discussing
how to use image critiques to improve your own photography.
“Photography has always been my passion. I started photography at a young age using 35mm film and slides. As a young child I had my own darkroom
and spent countless hours developing my own black and white film and photographs. I am a generalist and enjoy all aspects of photography.
While I strive to perfect the difficult tack sharp, perfectly composed, perfectly exposed birds in flight, I continue to explore the historical and
creative aspects of photography. I am always trying to refine my photographic technique and expand my knowledge and skills in post-processing. “
