Jackie and the Chile Stalk, a take off on Jack and the Beanstalk, will be presented on a Saturday, during the 11am Story Hour time at South Brunswick Library by South Brunswick High School students. The presentation, directed by Mark Scoff, High School Member of South Brunswick Arts Commission, is aimed at children 5–8 years old. Priscilla Orr, author of Jugglers & Tides, and the forthcoming Losing the Horizon from Hannacroix Creek Books, is a recipient of fellowships from New Jersey State Council on

the Arts and Yaddo, is a Dodge poet and has twice been nominated for a Pushcart Prize. She is an Associate Professor or English, and lives with her spirited Norwich terrier, Crosby, in Hamburg, NJ.

Marcia Pelletiere is a poet, musician, and multimedia artist. She has just released her first poetry collection, Miracle with Roasted Hens (Spit, Bite Press), which can be ordered from her website, www.marciapelletiere.com. She is a founding member of the a cappella group The Accidentals, and co-founder of Two Cahoots, a multimedia arts collaborative. Her CD Little Noises was featured in Billboard Magazine and includes Marcia’s poems set to music by more than 25 diverse musicians. Her poems have been published in journals including Ploughshares, Prairie Schooner, The Southern Poetry Review, Alaska Quarterly Review, and Painted Bride Quarterly. She has taught creative writing at several schools and arts organizations in New York City.

Special guest speaker: Cassandra Demski, Curator of Education, Grounds For Sculpture. Cassandra will lay out the sculptors and their work displayed on the premises and along with the background of this great outdoor museum and indoor gallery. Her talk will be very helpful for SB Camera Club shooting event on April 22, 2012.

Sunday, April 22, 2012, Details: Group rate is $8 p/p. We need 15 people to get the group rate, which includes parking fee. The normal price is $12 w/o food.

Group tickets must be paid in full 17 days in advance and is Nonrefundable.

Ed Birch will present our 2 food choices, sign-up and payment terms. We are not allowed to bring in our own food or drinks.

New and Big Connections for our Club • Princeton Camera Club, which runs the Art Ways Gallery at the Princeton Alliance Church in Plainsboro, have accepted SB Camera Club into their Annual Club Photo Exhibition along with Cranbury and Raritan Camera Clubs. We will feature an exhibit “In Memory” of Vera Schwartz, beloved past president of the camera club.

The Camera Club, which meets at the library on the first Wednesday of each month, is sponsored by the South Brunswick Arts Commission. Persons with all levels of experience, whether beginner, amateur or professional, are welcome to attend this free program. Members from other Camera Clubs are also welcome at our monthly meetings. SB Camera Club Inclement Weather Policy: On days that the South Brunswick Public Schools are closed or afternoon or evening activities are canceled due to inclement weather, the SB Camera Club meeting will be canceled.
