Sharon Olson

Sharon Olson has recently moved to Lawrenceville, New Jersey (after living several years in Guilford, Connecticut). She retired in 2007 from the Palo Alto (California) City Library where she had been a reference librarian and cataloger since 1978. She earned a B.A. in Art History from Stanford and attended its campus in Florence, Italy, in 1967. Continue reading

Wenonah BrooksTradition is a key word in describing the music of Wenonah Brooks.  In recent years modern jazz has taken on a chaotic element, breaking with it’s past and leaving many conservative jazz audiences wanting for the music they had grown to appreciate.  Wenonah’s concept has been to bring the performance of jazz back to its fundamentals, namely a song expressed in the standard jazz form.  Continue reading
